  • Abstract :
    Area of Darkness: Sentinel is a psychological thriller/adventure game set in 1978. There are lots of interesting puzzles, immersive motion controller based combat system and lots of exploration and adventure.

    My Responsibilities:

    As a lead game developer, I had several responsibilities as mentioned below:


  • Managing source control using Perforce.
  • Interaction and collaboration with TechArt , Animation and 3D modelling teams.
  • Development of Full body character (no floating hands here), Hand and foot IK.
  • Making wrist and arm twists joint simulate like real.
  • Quick Time Events (QTE) motion controller based action combat system.
  • A physical logbook to keep game notes for total VR immersion.
  • Developed unique puzzles using a variety of techniques such as controller motion, item combining, physics-based throwing, and environmental manipulation.

  • Techinical Details:

  • Game Engine: Unreal Engine 4
  • Developed for PC VR (Oculus, vive and windows mixed reality). Will be ported on PS-VR and non-VR later.
  • Used Blueprints and C++ both, as per our requirement.
